 The €2.3bn t/o p.a. Sofidel Group, is a leading manufacturer of paper for hygienic and domestic use worldwide, operating in 13 countries, with more than 6800 employees. Sofidel offers a range of tissue products to consumers with market leading brands such as Regina, Nicky and Thirst Pockets and the “Away from Home” sector supplying to Restaurants, Hospitals, offices etc. The business has 4 Paper Mill and Converting production sites in the UK.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a candidate with a background in Logistics/Distribution/Warehousing to join Sofidel, at the company’s manufacturing facilities in Leicester based in Hamilton, with additional responsibility for Rothley.  You will also work closely with two off-site warehouses, with a brief to ensure the day-to-day operations of the supply chain are managed and meet the company’s objectives.

Reporting directly to the Country Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for, and supported by a Shipping Supervisor and two Warehouse Managers. With a practical, hands-on approach, your remit will include, ensuring Supply Chain areas are managed in compliance with Health and Safety and company standards. You will plan and manage logistics, warehouse and transportation services, working with the wider Sofidel team to ensure KPIs are exceeded, and that Group objectives are achieved.

The successful candidate will have a Logistics/Warehouse/Distribution background, with experience gained in a high volume, progressive manufacturing environment. You will be robust and resilient and able to demonstrate well developed communication skills and an ability to lead and develop a team in a dynamic and demanding environment.  We are also open to applications from candidates seeking their first move into a broader Logistics role.
