Sika AG, a CHF 8 billion t/o p.a. Swiss Market Index (SMI) listed company, is a globally active speciality chemicals company offering a comprehensive range of products including waterproofing systems, sealing, bonding and speciality mortars etc. across many construction and associated sectors. The business employs over 1000 people in the UK across 4 legal entities: Sika, Everbuild Building Products, Incorez and Enewall. This complex, fast-paced manufacturing business (16k SKU’s, 10k customers, 50% export) is growing exponentially and this is a critical appointment, within the operations function, to increase sales forecasting and demand planning in order to improve accuracy and enhance Customer Experience across the business.
Reporting to the Head of Customer Experience UK, you will work with IT, AI Consultants and key business stakeholders to assess and build forecasting capability, improve and measure performance and review processes, to deliver consistent short, medium and long-term forecasts, for defined product groups for each of Sika’s respective BU’s/Target Markets.
You will develop a 1–3-year roadmap to improve forecast accuracy, benchmarking across the industry to ensure best in class performance and actively engage with Product Management on managing new products, promotions, price increases and product phase-outs, taking into account strategic and integrated wider business planning.
With a background in sales forecasting and demand planning, applicants must have previous project/change management experience of developing and implementing robust sales forecasting and demand planning processes and review procedures, in a complex, manufacturing supply chain environment. With a high level of IT literacy (SAP, Excel, Salesforce), and strong communication ability, candidates must be highly self- motivated with the ability to forge relationships, engage and influence across functions.
