Smurfit Kappa is one of the leading global providers of paper-based packaging solutions in the world, with around 46,000 employees, in approximately 370 production sites, across 35 countries, with revenue of €8.9 billion in 2018.
A rare opportunity has arisen for a Sales Director to join the Senior Leadership Team at the speciality corrugated sheet (print and conversion) plant, in Tannochside, which houses award winning flexo print with 5 colour and UV capability. Managing external, internal and design office functions, you will be responsible for leading a strategy to maximise sales in existing markets where the site enjoys long standing relationships e.g. Scottish spirts customers, food and E-commerce sectors, while developing new business into new customers/markets. Your wider brief will be to work strategically with other Smurfit Kappa, integrated and speciality sites, to develop a cohesive approach and broader product portfolio offering to customers in the Scottish region.
Ideally with experience gained in a corrugated/paper/board, or wider packaging/food sector, applicants will be experienced sales managers, capable of working in a highly competitive market and building strategies for growth. As well as sound business management and commercial acumen, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate strong leadership, team empowerment and development and relationship building ability, both with customers and internally. There are excellent opportunities for a high achiever to develop with this strongly people focussed FTSE 100 business.
