This exciting and challenging role will provide quality and systems expertise, and drive quality excellence, to ensure all manufactured products meet or exceed customer expectations.   This well invested site employs in the region of 190 people and supplies a range of innovative and high-quality flexible packaging, including pouches, bags and lids into the medical, pharmaceutical and food markets, each with their own stringent quality systems and requirements.

Reporting to the Technical & Quality Manager, you will identify and deliver initiatives which will not only improve quality performance and deliver cost savings but will reinvigorate and transform the quality culture of the site.  The site is already ISO9001, IS914001, BRC and FSC accredited, and you will take ownership, drive and further develop quality systems to ensure consistency, sustainability and standardisation of processes which will meet, and exceed, exacting customer demands.  Managing a small on-site quality team, you will forge strong internal relationships with operations, and externally with customers, to develop best practice and deliver proactive support.

Candidates will ideally be qualified to degree level with proven expertise in a Quality Management role, gained within a high volume, progressive manufacturing environment – packaging, medical devices, healthcare, food etc.  Your leadership (both direct and indirect) and communication skills will be combined with a strong problem-solving approach, utilising CI and Six Sigma methodology to deliver results.
