Ref: -03906

Berry Global is a plastic and recycled packaging industry leader.  This innovative and successful Group operates over 290 manufacturing facilities worldwide and employs over 48,000 individuals.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Production Manager, with an interest in making an impact on recycling and sustainability in food and consumer packaging, to join PLASgran at their new, purpose built Clean-Stream plastics recycling facility in Leamington Spa.  Housing industry leading technology, the site will process 36,000 tonnes of plastics per year, supporting high profile brand owners in their drive to achieve recycling targets.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, key to your success will be the ability to lead, train and develop, motivate and inspire your team of c100 employees, through 4 Shift Managers (24/7 operation).  Adopting a ‘hands on’ approach your challenge will be to deliver maximum efficiencies and optimum production levels, ensuring process repeatability and sustainability, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and cost reduction.  You will also play a key role in embedding the site’s health & safety culture, which is always first priority.

Of Graduate calibre, candidates will have a production leadership background, preferably gained in a plastics/polymer environment, or similar high-volume manufacturing or recycling organisation.  This role may also attract high performing Shift Managers, responsible for a large team (c100 people), seeking their first move into Production Management.

With a practical approach and ability to ‘lead from the front’ you will be able to demonstrate a sound track record of efficiency improvement.  Energy, enthusiasm, passion and flexibility are all prerequisites for this key role.
