Our Client, part of a highly successful Global Group, is a leading manufacturer in its field of high volume, complex packaging, supplying an impressive, blue chip customer base. Employing in excess of 250 people, operating 24/7, its success in penetrating new markets has resulted in volume growth which is set to continue.
A rare opportunity has arisen for a proven Plant Manager to assume operational P&L responsibility for this successful site, delivering overall business strategy focused on growth and profit, whilst ensuring unrivalled levels of safety and operational performance. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will encompass full responsibility for the day to day management of the business, providing leadership and focus for a high calibre team across Production, Safety and HR; Maintenance, Technical and Quality; Planning, Logistics and order processing, with a broad remit which will include:
- Leading, engaging and inspiring the team to ensure objectives are met, identifying opportunities for further training and development, driving an inclusive team working culture and ensuring the company’s “Can Do” attitude continues.
- Helping to ensure the site achieves its required profitability by exceeding annual budgeted operating profit targets, showing year on year improvement.
- The improvement of already impressive efficiencies and optimum production levels, identifying opportunities for automation and capital investment.
- Continuing to drive operational excellence, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and cost reduction.
Degree calibre, candidates will have a proven plant/factory management/operational/manufacturing background gained in a high volume, complex manufacturing environment e.g. packaging, plastics, paper, FMCG, food, automotive etc. An Engineering background or strong engineering appreciation will be advantageous.
An accomplished leader with a hands-on approach, and excellent communication skills, you will demonstrate energy and enthusiasm achieving success through inspiring teams to engage and contribute.
