This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to join the Engineered Materials Division of Berry BPI, focusing on the leadership and development of a team selling innovative and market leading consumer and industrial, plain and printed shrink, technical film and stretch film into a high-profile customer base across the UK.

This challenging role will include responsibility for:

  • The leadership, development, motivation and empowerment of a Sales team of 7 across the UK, focused on the profitable development of key accounts.
  • Personal development of the company’s top level key accounts (value £15-£20m) including major blue chip beverage companies, operating at strategic head office level, as well as regional site level.
  • Together with the team, the achievement of growth and sales targets including P&L delivery, margin management, business development etc.
  • Working with the Sales Director to implement a strategic sales plan which expands the company’s customer, product range and market base.

Candidates will ideally be Degree qualified with proven senior account management and sales management experience, gained in a packaging manufacturing or distribution environment, ideally supplying the food and/or beverage sector.  Film/flexible packaging experience would be advantageous, but not essential.

You will have demonstrable experience in developing long term, profitable customer relationships through the implementation of innovative key account and business development strategies and the effective development and leadership of sales teams.
