Go-Pak has recently become part of the Packaging Division of the £13billion p.a. t/o , Thailand based SCG Group. Go-Pak® UK is a rapidly expanding manufacturing and import distribution business, with manufacturing sites in Vietnam supplying disposable food service packaging products to the Food Service, Cash & Carry and Retail sectors in UK, Europe and USA. With a focus on sustainability, the company has current sales of £70m p.a. and will now become the European/US route to market for the parent company leading to further exponential growth.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller with a dotted line into the Group Sales Director, this is a high-profile role which will focus on supporting the financial and commercial analysis and reporting in the business and also being proactive in supporting pricing and internal commercial and financial processes.
A critical aspect of the role will be driving Customer and product margin enhancement at every opportunity, ensuring the company remains competitive, submitting accurately costed prices on time and delivering the lowest cost options that provide the best Customer value and business margin.
The role will require the use of Navision (Microsoft based) and CRM Sales-i business systems as well as working effectively with other departments to raise levels of commercial excellence and drive margin enhancement.
Educated to ‘A’ level/early accounting qualifications or Degree level in a maths/statistical/business management/ finance/accounting discipline, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who will enjoy working with the senior leadership team to provide analytical and data management support in a dynamic and fast changing business environment. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a proactive and flexible approach to business with the ability to interact and communicate at all levels. Some previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be a considerable advantage.
