API Foilmakers Ltd is part of the Aldus Group (www.aldus.com.au), an Australian owned business and a market leader in labelling, coding, label printing and stamping foil, supporting the packaging and graphics sectors.
A recent acquisition into the Group, API Foilmakers, manufacture a diverse range of stamping foils in Livingston, supported by European distribution and service ‘hubs’ in the UK, Italy, Poland and France. Poised for further significant growth through product innovation and investment, and supporting an impressive blue chip customer base, a rare opportunity has now arisen for a highly autonomous Managing Director to take full P&L responsibility for the European business, which has a turnover of approximately £30m p.a of which approximately 80% is exported.
Your challenge will be to develop and deliver the strategic plan to expand API’s position as the preferred supply option with more customers and in more segments of the premium packaging market thereby growing market share, as well as driving profitability through strong operational and financial control to deliver best practice manufacturing, operational excellence and exceptional customer service.
Candidates will have proven P&L experience gained in a high volume, complex manufacturing environment, demonstrating successful leadership and the execution of strategies that have delivered profitable growth. With a strong operational background, successful in delivering operational improvement strategies, and financially astute, you will also have personal experience of maximising sales and developing strong customer and supplier relationships. Your experience must also include successfully driving change management and the ability to develop and lead high performing teams to achieve results.
