My client is a €300m p.a. t/o leading, international producer of technical laminates and protective packaging materials, specialising in the production of fibre based, intelligent, multi-laminate products. With a reputation for providing innovative solutions for protecting and branding, the company supplies an ever broadening range of industries from food and fmcg, through to construction and electronics.
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a high performing Sales Manager, to cover the UK and Ireland (with occasional European coverage), whose focus will be to build relationships with key account, folding box board convertors and distributors whilst developing strategies for new business development into both existing and new markets. Enjoying high levels of autonomy but working closely with the UK Managing Director, the role will be approx. 50% account management and 50% new business development. The new business activity will focus around developing new, niche/specialist products and the company has already been successful, via major distributors, in developing several innovative and plastic replacement products for household names in the fast food/food to go market.
Whilst it is preferable that candidates have an excellent technical knowledge of the folding carton board market and come from either a board mill, carton board convertor or carton board /packaging distributor, candidates from other areas of the packaging sector who have proven new business development skills and expertise in B2B selling into blue chip food/ retailer markets will be considered.
