With solid year on year growth, our Client is part of a privately-owned European Packaging Group, providing innovative solutions in a range of recyclable and sustainable packaging materials for the food, confectionary, fresh fruit and vegetable and food service sectors. 

The Group has invested in state-of-the-art technology and focuses on innovation, continuous improvement and best practice with a key focus on consumer insights and retailer demands.

An exciting and challenging opportunity has now arisen for an inspirational Sales Director to take responsibility for delivering a turnover approaching ¬£50m p.a. through B2B, Market Desks and distributor routes to market. The Sales Director will provide empathic, tactical and strategic leadership and direction to a team of c7 External and 5 Internal sales to deliver EBITDA by driving revenue and margins and the further development of a value driven, high performing sales team.  Both strategic and hands on, the appointee will play a significant personal role in creating and developing customer relationships at all levels.

We are seeking results driven candidates with the drive, enthusiasm and experience of implementing, or working within, a professionally structured business with strong sales tracking mechanisms where he/she has developed sales teams to achieve success and key business objectives. 

Experience in the packaging sector is not essential, however, it is likely that candidates will come from a similar progressive, B2B product manufacturing business in a highly competitive environment such as food, beverage, food service or FMCG. Knowledge of the Retailer market would be advantageous. It is essential that candidates have managed sales teams and high value sales turnovers. International experience and wider marketing experience will be useful but not essential.

With well-rounded process driven sales experience and demonstrable achievement of sales and profit growth, candidates must be tough negotiators with the gravitas and strength of character to command the respect of colleagues, the sales team and key customers.
