Currently attracting significant investment, the site has entered an exciting stage of development which is resulting in increased product complexity, higher added value and further growth with a major, blue-chip customer base.
Leading and motivating the Operations team to deliver maximum efficiency and optimum production levels, during a major change period, your challenge will be to lead a step change in the business by developing and engaging a multi-skilled workforce to further develop a customer focused, continuous improvement culture with a commitment to driving manufacturing excellence in all operational areas, specifically health and safety, quality and productivity.
By identifying, and acting on, opportunities for improvement and cost reduction, you will maximise profitability and assist the business in creating value, internally and externally, for the customer base with which you will enjoy significant contact. You will provide clear leadership and vision, inspiring, coaching and mentoring the operations workforce to exceed the challenging targets you set.
With a history of operational management success in a volume, progressive, manufacturing environment, and with a proven talent for increasing profits through efficiency improvement, you will be well versed in driving and developing CI strategies through the use of WCM tools and techniques. Excellent team building and communication skills will be vital as you build strong, open relationships with your team, suppliers, customers and senior colleagues alike.
