Following internal promotion, a rare opportunity has arisen to join the senior management team at this flagship, state of the art, high volume, manufacturing site, which employs 160 people. Part of an international plc and currently attracting further investment, the site is entering an exciting stage of development which will result in increased product complexity, higher added value and further growth.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will assume full management responsibility for the Manufacturing, Engineering and Planning functions in this sophisticated plant which operates annualised hours. Your challenge will be to lead and develop a highly skilled and motivated workforce of c115 to further develop a customer focused, continuous improvement culture with a commitment to driving manufacturing excellence in all operational areas specifically Health and Safety, Customer Service, Quality and Productivity.

We are looking for a dynamic manufacturing professional with the tenacity and vision to deliver even greater improvements to an already high performing plant through the utilisation of leading edge manufacturing tools and techniques.

Graduate calibre – possibly also MBA – you will have demonstrable ability to improve productivity within an advanced, team based, continuous improvement manufacturing culture. Your sound operational experience will have been gained in a fast turnaround, high volume, customer focussed, manufacturing/engineering environment e.g. automotive, packaging, fmcg. Commercially astute and customer driven, you will be an outstanding communicator and presenter capable of providing strong and highly visible leadership to an enthusiastic and highly committed team.
