Our Client, part of a Stock Exchange listed, international manufacturing group, supplying to the retail, DIY, building contractor and consumer markets, offers a Continuous Improvement professional a ‘greenfield’ opportunity to lead and manage culture change, in line with growth and investment strategies in the UK which are already underway.

With a plan to double the current sales turnover of £12m, within the next 4 years, we are looking for an ambitious CI professional with impeccable project and leadership skills to introduce strong performance management, KPI measures around Productivity (OEE), Waste, Health and Safety, Environmental, OTIF etc. A key focus will be the implementation of relevant lean tools and techniques, including but not limited to SMED, 5S, Cellular Manufacturing, Kanban etc and for the delivery of progressive manufacturing improvement projects designed to significantly enhance site-wide operational performance and the skills of a talented workforce.

You will take a hands-on approach to project management, developing and improving internal communications to ensure the smooth running of continuous improvement programmes, from concept to delivery.

Educated to a high standard, candidates will have a strong manufacturing or engineering background and will ideally have held a CI Leadership role, gained in a progressive, fast moving manufacturing environment. This experience will be supported by a strong lean toolbox and demonstrable success in delivering improvements across all business areas.

This position offers an outstanding opportunity for overseas travel to sister sites to share best practice. There may also be the opportunity to work from home, one day a week, to prepare and analyse statistical information and reports.
